It snowed here (for the first time this season) in West Michigan this past week and for most Michiganders it meant “Let’s put the Christmas tree up!!” SLOW THE BOAT, people. If you aren’t quite ready for the holiday commitment, I urge you to read on, so we can discuss what to do with the in-between decor space of fall/winter.
I like to keep most of my decor simple. That’s mostly because I don’t have a lot of space to store seasonal decor. So when I find a piece that I can use for more than one holiday/season, it’s a major win!
We recently met an older gentleman who handmakes some items for us. He does not disappoint. These are old tobacco sticks that he turned into decor.
Think of all the possibilities during all the seasons. And if you go through phases where you don’t feel like decorating (Jan-Mar, anyone?), then you can throw a candle in the center and call it good!
I plan to do something simple like this for fall:
And of course they look great as a trio if you have a big enough coffee table or farmhouse table!
These are available at the shoppe. At Thanksgiving I picture a cornucopia in the center with some turkey feathers or something cool like that. At Christmas, some green sprigs with berries and/or a cute tree. In the spring a house plant… oh the possibilities are endless! How would you style yours??
